WHAT DOES THE NEW IMO REGULATION SAY?

According to the MSC. 1392/Circ.1, the new compliant hook systems must meet the new requirements concerning the locking arrangement and stability of the hook system. The new hook systems must be manufactured in corrosion-resistant material. The new LSA Code and MSC.81(70) states the following test criteria

New vs. Old Hook

With the new IMO regulation MSC.1391/Circ.1 all non-compliant hook systems need to be replaced in the first scheduled dry-docking after July 1, 2014.

FRP Foundation Construction
